Mac DeMarco Readies His Return
Announcing a new album and tour.
This is not a drill: Mac DeMarco is making his return.
The musician took to his @macsrecordlabel Instagram account to share the below video, writing in the caption “Going on tour. Album out in August. C U THERE.” While the album doesn’t have a release date yet, it’s presumably slated to drop ahead of DeMarco’s lengthy tour, which starts in late August and runs through mid-December.

DeMarco is set to kick off the global trek in Los Angeles, California at The Greek Theatre on August 29.

The news comes roughly two years since the musician’s last longform releases: Five Easy Hot Dogs and the 199-track One Wayne G, which he dropped in January of 2023 and April of 2023, respectively.
Tickets go on sale on Ticketmaster this Friday, April 11 at 9:00 a.m. PST – except those in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles, which go live for purchase a day earlier, on Thursday, April 10th at 9:00 a.m. PST.
