This is not an April Fools joke: Skrillex has surprise-dropped his long-awaited new album, F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3.

Coming off a massive performance at Miami’s ULTRA Music Festival (during which Skrillex returned to the Main Stage for the first time in 10 years), the artist leaked his album 14 hours before its official release by emailing a Dropbox file to everyone subscribed to his email list. “The Dropbox comment section quickly turned into an impromptu listening party with fans reacting to the tracks in real-time,” per the artist’s label.

F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3 includes 34 tracks with features from artists including Jónsi of Sigur Rós, Dylan Brady of 100 gecs, Boys Noize, Varg2TM, Wuki, and more. Notably, the album marks Skrillex’s final project with OWSLA/Atlantic Records, capping off a 15-year run with the label that saw the artist become an emblem of electronic music.

The record follows Skrillex’s Quest for Fire and Don’t Get Too Close, both of which were unexpectedly released in 2023. That same year, the artist performed at Coachella alongside Four Tet and Fred Again.., replacing Frank Ocean during the festival’s second weekend.
