Kanye West-Themed Video Game 'Lil Ye Land' Launches Free Demo Mode
Hip-hop meets 2D classic gaming.
If you’re a fan of Kanye West and arcade classics, Lil Ye Land is the perfect video game for you. In this hip-hop-inspired retro 2D platformer, gamers help Lil ‘Ye — a bobblehead Kanye — navigate and Tweet his way through a Yeezy universe of music, money, friends, fans and unicorns, all the while escaping enemies such as gold-diggers, robocops, ghosts and paparazzi.
The video game, created by illustrator Ali Graham, is currently available to play for free in full demo mode and features Kanye-themed worlds such as the Heartbreak Hotel (inspired by “Robocop”), The Ballet (“Runaway”) and Paris, all of which are “packed with references to songs, lyrics and a few familiar-faced friends.” More worlds and features are in development, which you can help out with by donating to the game via its Kickstarter.
