Teaming up with three modern style creators, the heritage brand showcases its hero pieces in head-to-toe looks that highlight Levi’s® versatility across its womenswear and menswear offerings.
The 555™ Relaxed Straight Fit Jeans are a classic denim fit with a laid-back vibe inspired by the ‘90s. They come in different washes, created to match different sensibilities. First, Levi’s® teamed up with stylist and creative director Toreno Winn to show off the 555™ jeans his way. Winn styles some of the biggest athletes in the game, like Kyle Kuzma, and is the style architect behind many bold, viral fashion moments. In his style, he likes to bring an imaginative approach that isn’t limited by expectations, pushing the boundaries with inventive silhouettes and layering.
“It’s always been about allowing the shapes, colors and textures to speak to me. Trial and error is my best teacher,” he said, “I always try and learn from my mistakes. With that being said, style isn’t math. It’s more like philosophy — there’s not just one equation and one answer and there are many ways to wear things.” For Winn’s first look, he paired the 555™ jeans with Comme Des Garçons Homme Plus shoes and a button-down layered underneath the Levi’s® Richmond cardigan. Finally, he topped the outfit off with a hat. This look takes an elevated approach to the relaxed denim. His second look pairs the jeans with the Levi’s® Japanese Denim Utility Trucker, the Spade Trench coat, and the Levi’s® Jordan 4’s, playing into the denim texture.
Displaying the 555™s through another perspective, the brand then tapped Geron McKinley, father, model, musician, and philanthropist from Compton, to assemble two distinct looks informed by his diverse creative passions. His first outfit takes a simplistic approach, pairing the jeans with a white tank top and Work Zone 6” boots. His second look incorporates the Trucker jacket layered underneath the Rockridge Short Puffer, and a practical shoe, lived-in Vans sneakers.
As McKinley is often on the go and practices many different interests, alongside spending time with his son, he prioritizes looks that can help him move through his day with ease. “I wanted it to be practical for the person who needs to stay warm while walking the streets of CA or NY or the blue-collar worker who’s warming up his truck on his way to work in the AM,” he said.
Lastly, Levi’s® got together with Elujay, rising singer and songwriter from Los Angeles. Though Elujay is constantly inspired by his musical endeavors, he makes sure to balance out his creative side by spending time outdoors. When he isn’t making music, he can be found organizing wellness hikes for his fans. For Elujay’s first look, he crafts an outfit that can take him from the studio and beyond. “I often wear a lot of utilitarian clothes that can be practical and stylish at the same time,” he shared. He opted to style the Levi’s® Skateboarding Loose Chinos with a crewneck sweatshirt, the Levi’s® Icon tote bag, and Camper Loafers. Later, the creative incorporates the laidback jeans into a timeless look including a crewneck sweatshirt in an alternate colorway — proving the many possibilities of Levi’s® comfortable offerings — and the Two Horse tote.
