The Boring Company has earned numerous local projects over the years in cities like Las Vegas and Los Angeles. But CEO Elon Musk‘s grand vision of a city-linking hyperloop has still yet to materialize despite an earlier approval back in 2017 from New York City and Washington D.C. Regardless, it now seems that Musk is still hoping to construct one in the near future.

Taking to Twitter once again, the tech mogul says that Boring Company is planning on building a working hyperloop “in the coming years.” According to Musk, a hyperloop — which features low-pressure tunnels running vehicles or pods to transport people and goods at up to 800 mph — is the fastest way to get from point A to point B for distances less than 2,000 miles since it won’t be affected by traffic or weather and road conditions. The SpaceX CEO also added that for longer distances, a Starship would fare better.

The new revelation from Musk also comes shortly after the Boring Company was valued at $5.6 billion USD following a new fundraising round.

In other related news, Twitter has confirmed that it’ll be selling to Musk.
