Christoph Hefti is a Swiss designer, artist and former creative collaborator of Dries Van Noten. Hefti will soon exhibit colorful, new textile works at The Little House, an exhibition space at the famed Belgian designer’s first flagship store in the United States. Hefti spent more than a decade as a creative assistant to Dries Van Noten at his Antwerp atelier, where he was responsible for creating prints iconic to the designer.

Spanning an open layout of 8,500 square feet, the emerging shop in LA features two houses divers by an expansive parking lot: The Big House and The Little House. The Big House features Dries Van Noten’s current collections and a curated selection of vintage garments that are available for purchase. Both spaces will showcase works by artists, designers and creatives whose works have inspired Dries Van Noten.

Hefti’s latest textile works feature three of his hand-knotted relief carpets made of Nepalese wool and silk alongside three new interior designs encompassing the form of a curtain and poufs in two distinct fabrics. The artist’s designs are inspired by cultures, folklore and mythical narratives. The pieces will go on view starting November 26.

Check out select pieces in the slideshow above and visit Dries Van Noten’s website for more information.
