Zayn Malik Cancels Concert After Anxiety Attack
“I know those who suffer from anxiety will understand.”
With his recently released debut album, Mind of Mind, receiving positive reception across the globe, Zayn Malik has yet to announce a tour. Instead, he’s opting to do one-off shows. Today, the British singer was forced to cancel his performance at the Capital FM’s Summertime Ball after revealing an ongoing struggle with anxiety. The former One Direction member sent out an apology letter. He writes:
“Unfortunately, my anxiety that has haunted me throughout the last few months around live performances has gotten the best of me,” Malik wrote in an Instagram post. “With the magnitude of the event, I have suffered the worst anxiety of my life.”
Zayn’s next performance is scheduled on October 7 at The Autism Rocks Arena in Dubai. You can read his full statement below.
