ICY and SOT Install 'An Open Door' to Protest Anti-Immigration Policies
As part of The Crystal Ship contemporary art festival in Belgium.
The Brooklyn-based artist duo and brothers behind ICY and SOT are widely-recognized for their public interventions, wall paintings, and films that address socio-political issues, human rights, and capitalism. The artists recently unveiled a new politically-charged installation as part of The Crystal Ship contemporary art festival in Ostend, Belgium. Titled An Open Door, the public artwork portrays a sizable prison fence with an open black door in the middle. With this piece, the artists aim to shed light on anti-immigration policies all across the globe.
