UPDATE: Banksy recently took to Instagram to announce that he will be handing out 1000 free posters to those who attend the London Travel Market fair. The poster takes inspiration from a vintage vacation postcard with the artist’s twist as he attempts to raise awareness for the Israeli-Palestine conflict using bold text of “Visit historic PALESTINE” coupled with the slogan: “The Israeli Army liked it so much they never left!” Furthermore, the backdrop of the poster features a black and white graphic of a military watchtower acting as a swing carrying children of ostensibly Palestinian background.

For those who can’t attend the fair, Banksy made the poster available for download on his official website. Check out the poster, below.

Article originally published on Nov 2, 2018: Every year, travel industry specialists from across the globe descend upon the World Travel Market in London to engage in business deals alongside a slew of exhibitors offering special services and products. Surprisingly, Banksy is set to man a booth at the fair.

The elusive British artist and his team will “be at the Palestine stand giving away free stuff,” he said in a statement. The highlight in the artist’s stand will be a replica separation barrier to call attention to his Walled Off Hotel in Bethlehem that is situated five meters away from the wall that divides Israel from the Palestinian West Bank. The replica features a pair of winged angelic beings with each one ostensibly representing Israel and Palestine respectively.

The World Travel Market will take place at ExCeL London through November 5-7. View the replica separation barrier above and let us know your thoughts. Elsewhere in art, Johnson Tsang recently unveiled new figurative distortions.
