Zero Gravity Racks Save a Ton of Space in Your Cramped Downtown Apartment
Why didn’t we think of this?
Have a bike that takes up too much space? How about surfboards that are too tall for your low-ceiling studio? Mark Canavarro from San Diego came up with a genius way to store these difficult items by simply lifting them up. The “Zero Gravity Rack” uses the vertical space in your home and an air compression strut to store your valuables above you. Once attached to the rack, simply allow the strut to do the heavy lifting for you by releasing the compressed gas within, and don’t worry–a safety lock prevents the strut from failing and thus slamming your bike down to Earth. Different capacity racks allow for various weights, ranging from 29 lbs. to 50 lbs.
