'The Banksy Job' Follows the Real-Life Art Heist of "Art Terrorist" AK47
Set to premiere at Tribeca Film Festival.
This year’s Tribeca Film Festival will play host to the premiere of The Banksy Job, a docudrama that recounts the peculiar 2004 heist of Banksy statue The Drinker by former porn star and self-proclaimed “art terrorist” AK47, née Andy Link. Spurred into action when Banksy refused to sign one of his prints, AK47 would go onto write a very strange chapter in art history by stealing and ransoming the statue, only to have it mysteriously disappear from his possession.
