James Franco Details New Album, Releases "Lime Green Dress"

Last month, James Franco proved he was serious about releasing a new album with his band Daddy by breaking down his Smiths-inspired creative intentions and inspiration and sharing a new single. Now, he’s sharing more details regarding the release of Daddy’s forthcoming album and allowing listeners to check out one more new single. The single is entitled “Lime Green Dress,” and can be streamed above. Allowing for a more expansive look at Franco’s thought process behind his new songs, he shared the following statement regarding his latest record:
We loved the sound of the English New Wave, especially the Smiths. The album was meant to reflect that, but with our own twists. The experiences of youth play so well into this sound. “Lime Green Dress” is about the terror and frisson of losing one’s innocence to the bad boy.
