An intense, experimental new number from Sufjan Stevens has been released. Entitled “Harsh Noise,” the song serves as Sufjan Stevens’ contribution to a limited-edition double album inspired by a one-night, multi-musician showcase held by cellist Gaspar Claus. Alongside other renowned, talented artists, the Brooklyn-based polymath performed at Gaspar Claus’ One Night Stand event, which happened back in 2012. Sufjan Stevens’ inclusion on Claus’ forthcoming project receives its debut via a performance of the song in Brooklyn for Gaspar Claus’ One Night Stand #1 effort. Considering the aggressive, extreme sound of today’s release, its title is fitting. You can check out “Harsh Noise” above.
