Canadian electronic innovators A Tribe Called Red have come out of the blue with an all-new, wrestling-themed EP project fittingly titled Suplex. Suplex features four new songs from the trio, with well-titled songs such as “The People’s Champ” and “Bodyslam.” There’s also a video for “Suplex” coupled with today’s drop, which A Tribe Called Red’s Bear Witness tells The FADER is about showing the connection themselves and other fans made to Native American-themed characters, which “went beyond stereotypes.” Bear Witness then added that the video’s purpose was “also to see an indigenous character make it, without needing the stereotype.” Paul Heyman and Vince McMahon should be proud of this one. You can check out the video above and listen to the Spotify stream of Suplex below. You can purchase A Tribe Called Red’s latest on iTunes.
