There’s a new music force coming from Toronto. The name? K.i.d, an abbreviation for “Kids In Despair.” Comprised of Washington-born singer Kara Lane and Toronto native Bobby Lo, the band has formed just a few months ago. The duo’s signature sound can be described as melodic garage-pop, which has been displayed on their excellent single “I Wish I Was Your Cigarette.” Above, you can check out their latest record, “Stoned On The Schoolbus.” The melancholic tune perfectly documents growing pains in a refreshing way. Listen above and be on the lookout for their upcoming debut EP, due later this year. While you’re at it, check out Kara’s performance with GZA on The Tonight Show last week.
