T-Bruin featuring Damone - Bout That Life
New York City no longer has the pull or regional identity it had in the era of Ready to Die
New York City no longer has the pull or regional identity it had in the era of Ready to Die and Enta da Stage, but it doesn’t matter much with the plethora of upcoming, original talent running through the city’s circuit. NYC collective Bleu Dope are a part of that movement of artists, and although member T-Bruin is originally from Atlanta, he has the gritty NYC attitude and aggression down to a science. On his track “Bout That Life,” he is joined by fellow Bleu Dope spitter and northeast native Damone, and their link-up provides some powerful, hyperactive knockout music. Their collaboration “Bout That Life” is appropriately billed as a sort of “call to arms,” and the visual component takes the usual “posses are power” approach to rap videos many others do and filters it through their unique collective’s world. Both T-Bruin and Damone have full-length projects set for release soon, with the former’s being entitled VI and the latter’s Worst Weather.
