Quiksilver Says Goodbye to Kelly Slater

Kelly Slater – one of the world’s greatest professional surfers – took to his Facebook page earlier in the week to announce that he will not continue his 23-year partnership with longstanding surf brand Quiksilver. In his message, Slater explains his extreme gratitude for the brand in talking about their journey together from the inking of their deal at the ripe age of 18, to documentaries, globetrotting the world in search of gnarly waves, countless record-settings and so much more. The decision didn’t come lightly for the now 40-something-year-old surfer, but he is certain he made the right choice to continue his pro career elsewhere.

Appreciative of their time together as well, Quiksilver produced the above retrospecting video piece as a tribute to the 11-time ASP World Champion.
