Car enthusiast John Benton has had a passion for Porsche restoration, maintenance and racing since he bought his very first 912 back in 1984. Now, three decades later, Benton continues to push his distinct approach to Porsche restoration – combining original aesthetics with the latest in performance innovation – with the Anaheim-based Benton Performance. Filmmaker Heath Mattioli recently caught up with Benton to discuss his love for famed German automotive engineering, his “belief in refined driving experiences,” and to take an inside look at the way in which Benton continues to tune and push the limits of his craft.
