Boots continues to seperate himself from simply being the “the Beyonce collaborator.” His new single, “I Run Roulette,” is an industrial-tinged, mangled piece of grimy, apocalyptic pop that’s worlds away from his debut project and his initial work with Bey. Towards the end, Boots even includes a sort of psychdelic guitar-freakout to further send the track flying into leftfield. With each new single, Boots’ solo career becomes more and more promising.
