UPDATE: Daft Punk Are "Getting Lucky" with Condoms
Daft Punk might be encouraging you to “Get Lucky” this summer, but they’re all about safety first.
Daft Punk might be encouraging you to “Get Lucky” this summer, but they’re all about safety first. Everyone’s favourite French electronic duo have teamed up with Durex to produce a new brand of condoms in tribute to their smooth and funky chart-topper, and it even comes packaged with the silhouette artwork of Pharrell and Nile Rodgers in front of the smouldering sun. Though we’re not sure if the condom will be available to the general public just yet, it looks like some lucky DJ’s managed to snag a few, and thanks to Diplo‘s post on Instagram we managed to get a sneak peek.
UPDATE: It looks like the Daft Punk condoms aren’t actually happening. Speaking with MTV, a representative from Durex shared that they have not been working with the French duo.
We are aware of reports that Durex has launched Daft Punk branded condoms following their hit single ‘Get Lucky.’ There is no Durex promotion or partnership with Daft Punk in the U.S. or any other markets and Durex is not posting free packs to the world’s top DJs as suggested. However, we do hope that by using Durex condoms, music-lovers will continue to make sweet music together and have great sex!
So far images of the mysterious condoms have surfaced on both Diplo and Sony Belgium‘s Instagram, but so far all we know is that they’re not associated with Durex. The condom company has even shared the disheartening news with fans via their Twitter, which you can see down below.
