Samsung has recently announced a partnership with New York-based designer Alexander Wang. The designer – who has recently joined Balenciaga – will be challenged to create the industry’s first designer print using crowd-sourced sketches and images using the Galaxy Note II. To celebrate the collaboration, Samsung and Wang have created a unique lifestyle video demonstrating how the smartphone can be used in everyday life and for Wang himself serves as the perfect companion to design meetings, location scouting and several other tasks that make up his busy day. Wang cites everyday life as his major influence when it comes to designing, but given his increasingly international presence, he’s relying more and more on digital tools for staying simultaneously in touch and inspired. The aforementioned print from Wang will appear on a limited edition bag that will be sold in key markets around the world to raise funds for Art Start – a New York City charity that aims to nurture the creative talents of at-risk children and youth.
