If not defined by skateboarding, Brian Anderson is an painter, designer and generally positive human. Thankfully, he also has the uncanny ability to maneuver a four-wheeled wooden toy with pinpoint exactitude, making him a truly rare individual to witness. Having recently released an instantly-popular shoe with Nike SB, quit Girl Skateboards to start his own company – 3D – and moved to New York, the past year has brought a whirlwind of changes for the “Skater of the Year” award recipient. Jon Humphries followed the iconic professional in his new home and studio space in Brooklyn, up to Connecticut to visit his family, and through the years to create a solid, memorable portrait.
