Following from the last episode which explored the food truck industry, Subculture Club presents a behind-the-scenes mini-doc on the astronomical culture of coffee drinking. It’s said that 2,000 hours of work is dedicated to delivering a cup of coffee from harvest to finish, which explains the passion felt by the coffee aficionados here in delivering the last step with tentative care, before handing over the sentimental brew to their customers. Here, we visit proud coffee roasters on the West Coast who pair their sensibility with technical methods in roasting, in addition to getting some insight on why coffee matters to those at the likes of Handsome Coffee, LAMILL Coffee and Blue Bottle Coffee Co., who take great pride in delivering their craft to those visiting the sanctuary.
