3.1 Phillip Lim 2013 Spring/Summer "Trickers" Film

It’s rare that high fashion designers parallel their lines with strenuous physical activity, yet Phillip Lim has never been one for the huddle. To preview 3.1 Phillip Lim‘s 2013 spring/summer offerings for men, the designer offers a short film, “Trickers.” The film, created by Jacob Sutton, features the movements of specialized “trickers” who blend acrobatics, parkour and special martial arts. The end result is a beautiful watch–a test of the human form–paralleled with the clean, sharp lines of Lim’s new collection. The range at hand seems to take nods from martial arts uniforms, yet also infuses floral patterning in the likes of its pants. Ultimately, “Trickers” is a standout film showcasing an extraordinary line for the coming season.
