When it comes to album sales figures, go-to industry insider website HITS Daily Double is notorious for delivering solid predictions well in advance that tend to end up more or less right on target. Although Frank Ocean’s major label debut album, channel ORANGE, has only been available since late Monday night, HITS is already chiming in with the number of copies they expect the extremely buzzed-about LP to sell in its first week on the market. By the end of next Monday, it’s predicted that channel ORANGE will have sold somewhere between 110,000 and 125,000 copies. For an album that was surprise released a week ahead of schedule and is only available on iTunes at the moment, that’s pretty impressive. If you haven’t grabbed your copy yet, stream it over on Frank’s Tumblr and purchase it here. Also, there are rumors that the physical disc will include some surprises, so make sure to grab a CD when it hits stores next Tuesday, July 17.
