David Sokosh is the subject of Etsy‘s latest production in the “Handmade Protraits” series. Formerly a gallery owner selling his art at Brooklyn’s DUMBO, before moving on as a purveyor of vintage items at the Brooklyn Flea, Sokosh began restoring antique clocks, eventually establishing Brooklyn Watches. Creating new timepieces out of vintage Swiss pocket watch movements, Brooklyn Watches arose from the perils and hardships of the recession to offer beautifully handmade pieces, each carefully crafted by Sokosh himself. These unique creations can be found here or in-person at the Brooklyn Flea.
