Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - "Man On Fire" & "That's What's Up" (Live on Jimmy Kimmel)
Regardless of whether or not you’re a fan of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros’ music,
Regardless of whether or not you’re a fan of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros’ music, there’s no denying that they put on quite the show. The 10-piece band not only physically consumes the stage when they perform, they make it a point to take up some of the audience’s space, too. Since the psychedelic indie folk band burst onto the scene in 2009, lead singer Alexander Ebert has been known to step into the middle of the crowd he’s performing for and even ask everyone to sit down with him campfire-style on occasion. Last night, he and his bandmates performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Ebert made sure that his crowd interaction was at an all-time high. While playing “Man On Fire,” the lead single from the Zeros’ brand new sophomore album, Here, Ebert hopped into the audience and had fans act out the lyrics, “Dance with me.” And, during “That’s What’s Up,” he and vocalist/former lover Jade Castrinos engaged in some playful back-and-forth with the crowd that would make even the biggest Zeros fan figure the two are back together.
