Famous Japanese Edo Period painter and artist, Katsushika Hokusai is being honored with a commemorative exhibition, “The 250th Anniversary of Hokusai’s Birth Exhibition: Masterpieces from the Honolulu Academy of Arts” at the Mistui Memorial Museum. The showcase brings together 170 of Hokusai’s ukiyo-e woodblock prints to portray a comprehensive glimpse of his history and timeline of work. An artist whose extensive body of work is widely recognizable and memorable, The Katsushika Hokusai exhibition will begin on April 14 and run through June 17, 2012.
