London-born filmmaker, activist and adventurer James Bowthorpe has circumnavigated the world on a bicycle in the name of Parkinson’s research. He has just announced a new film project, where he and his team will build a boat from waste collected around New York, and take it to the Hudson River’s source high up in the Adirondack Mountains, before rowing it back to the city. The story centers around the river, and all the lives affected along the path of its flowing. Of course, assembling an all-star documentary production cast and enlisting the help of Glasgow band Mogwai to score the soundtrack isn’t free, so Bowthorpe has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise the needed funding. You can read more, and donate towards the project if you so desire here.
