NOWNESS and filmmaker Jake Davis share with us a video taking a more intimate look into Billy Reid’s Alabama lifestyle and his annual shindig, which consists of BBQ, tunes and good friends all converging in Reid’s Southern town. The festival-like atmosphere features different gatherings revolving around food, music and lake visits, all playing out over several days in an area known as “The Shoals.” A mecca for the musical world, The Shoals has played host to an enviable roster of talents including Aretha Franklin, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson.
