CA4LA Loves Andy Warhol Hats
New from Japanese label CA4LA comes a 2011 spring/summer collection item inspired by none other
New from Japanese label CA4LA comes a 2011 spring/summer collection item inspired by none other than the great, late pop artist Andy Warhol. As Warhol always encouraged a synthesis of art and commerce – seeking to redefine what was considered “artistic” by screen-printing basic, everyday items such as his infamous Campbell’s Soup can onto canvases – the incorporation of his art into the fashion world is an unsurprising trend. CA4LA reinterprets the iconic soup can, dollar sign and “art” prints as an accessory, using the designs on the brim of a series of straw hats. Fans can cop the hats over at unbar for ¥7,875 JPY (approximately $101 USD).
