In an effort to improve the shopping experience for both businesses and consumers, the Google Wallet app enables users to tap, pay and even save by simply tapping their mobile phones. By utilizing Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, the app has the ability to store not just your credit card information but also loyalty cards, gift cards and special offers from retailers. Google Wallet will initially support both Citi MasterCard and Google Prepaid Card and can be used wherever MasterCard PayPass is accepted. Upon its release the app will only be compatible with the Google Nexus S 4G, available exclusively on the Sprint network.
