Yesterday, Nicki Minaj’s eccentric alter ego Roman Zolanski came back in full reloaded mode and let off some steam. On Ms. Minaj’s brand new single, “Roman in Moscow,” the protagonist is wreaking havoc all over Moscow and he throws numerous insults in his signature rapid flow delivery. Following the mixed response to the song, MTV News caught up with Minaj at the Billboard Women in Music event on Friday afternoon and talked about the track.
“‘Roman in Moscow is like a teaser to Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which will drop on Valentine’s Day. When I say it’s a teaser, it’s like a trailer to the movie, it’s like setting the stage and I just wanted to touch the surface. It’s wackest thing on Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.”
In related news, the pink gone red Barbie had an eventful week as she earned four 2012 Grammy nominations, including one for Best New Artist.
