K.A.N.T.A. is a London-raised 24-year-old rapper/producer who is currently shaking up the Japanese music scene. Turning heads with a sound that can be best described as a melange of “classic rock and The Beatles infused high-end hip-hop.” The artist, who is a son of respected DJ K.U.D.O (ex Mo’Wax artist), has now released a free EP titled OtherSideOfTheGlobe in order to raise awareness of the post-tsunami situation of Japan’s northeast region.
As the world knows,big earthquake has hit Japan which caused tsunami in the northeast region of the country and three nuclear power plants to melt down. Millions of people has lost their homes and enormous amounts of radiation has entered into the air,the sea,and ground water. This has changed the local ecosystem and the radiation rate has now elevated in every parts of Japan. Tokyo is not an exception. Newly found radiation hot spots are announced daily on the internet but the Mass Media hasn’t been covering most of this news. People out here are
frustrated and sick of the truth being covered up. The tragedy has become a wake up call and people are finally realizing it’s time for a change.
