Experimenting with the technological boundaries of perspective, Rip Curl creates the “Mirage Moments” short film cataloging an impressive new array of footage with its surf team – Mick Fanning, Owen Wright, Matt Wilkinson, Dillon Perillo and Dean Brady. Arriving litte over a year after its initial Mirage 2 bullet time video, the label again taps its partners TimeSlice and GoPro HD to employ a “30 camera array” – a line of consistently firing cameras that captured each surfer as they rode by. The resulting footage introduces a uniquely rounded and dimensional freeze-frame perspective.
