It appears that Mac Miller’s upcoming debut album, Blue Slide Park, will enjoy great success in its first sales week. The LP, which arrives on November 8 via INgrooves / Fontana / Rostrum, is likely to reach 100,000 sold units in its opening week. The album has been available for pre-order for over a month which has already garnered high number of sales. According to Hits Daily Double, this high response is a consequence of Mac’s strong social media network profile:
“I’ve never seen an artist and label do a better job with social network one-to-one fan outreach, Mac’s fans are beyond loyal. This is already a success because it’s been done outside the traditional ways of setting up a record, It’s being driven by everything Rostrum and Mac have done. We’re just trying not to screw it up, and to stay out of the way of the amazing story that they have built and are continuing to build.”
