Vampire Weekend - Giving Up The Gun

For the video to their new single “Giving Up The Gun” New York-based indie rock band Vampire Weekend arranges the most bizzare tennis match of all time. Enlisting an equally bizarre set of guest stars that includes Jake Gyllenhall, Joe Jonas, RZA and Lil Jon director Emmett Malloy places them in a tennis court setting where Vampire Weekend video muse Jenny plays the tennis game of her life. The visual will not only make people talking but add fuel to the hype surround their album “Contra”:

We always thought RZA would be perfect. We’d been in touch with Lil Jon since the first album. He heard the reference on ‘Oxford Comma’ and sent us some cases of Crunk Juice. Joe Jonas and Jake Gyllenhaal were both excellent — lot of improvisation and some surprisingly powerful serves.
