On the 11th of April 2008 Sabre Vision opened its International concept showroom, DON’T PANIC, in Newport Beach, California. DON’T PANIC, open to the public, showcases limited edition styling, brand collaborations and Sabre apparel, all of which are available for purchase. With an all-black atmosphere, the dark feel to the space is broken by a unique water feature – a toilet fountain. Set to be an incubator for hard to find limited edition Sabre shades as well as a space for creative collaborations and the likes, DON’T PANIC is now open so if you’re in the area, check it out. Visit www.sabrevision.net for photos of the opening night.

Ryan Mcginley, dubbed one of Warhol’s children, has completed another successful project titled “I Know Where the Summer Goes” which drew a huge crowd at the Team gallery. The showing consisted of photos he took on a 2007 road trip around the States with 16 models, 3 assistants and a good stash of film. The result was 4,000 rolls of film of imagery that look like they’re from an earlier era; full of nudity, nature, freedom, and the trademark late night debauchery and early morning come-downs. The gallery showing included appearances from A-ron the Don and Leo Fitzpatrick amongst the artsy crowd.

Among the items previously seen for Japanese rock-inspired label Devilock was a partnership with Vancouver retailer Subdivision and its in-house label DVSN. While their previous collaboration involved t-shirts, the two have come together once again to release a hoodie as part of the ongoing collection of 11th anniversary items. The hoodie is seen with high quality prints on the chest and back, produced on a thick white body fleece. Available now at Subdivision.
New Balance has been worn by sneaker collectors far before footwear companies starting aiming their prodcuts at the heads. New balance eventually joined the limited edition game as well with the world reknowned realmadHECTIC releases as well as many others. Now, they are aiming agressively at this target market with a NB576 dubbed the “A10” from their new limited edition “A22” catergory. This shoe is a fusion between their most popular model and a pro-golf shirt. At first look the upper looks like it is made of canvas but it is actually made from the same material as golf shirts. There is even a small button attached to the shoe to emphasize this look. The usual “N” logo is replaced with a Germanic font “N” and the other side has a “10” on it.
