One of the sneakers that sneakerheads in Japan collected (when sneaker collecting was still popular) was the Reebok Insta Pump Fury. Looking like its going to transform into a robot, this sneaker when it was first released had some cutting edge technology but looked good at the same time. Now, Reebok will be releasing a new collection based on the Insta Pump Fury. Three Insta Pump Furies will be released all pimped out with purple, red or blue snakeskin. You can pick these up startin February 6th at Atmos Tokyo.
Since the 1980’s, a lot of popular graphics in Japan’s street scene have been produced by the design collective 7STARS Design. Recently they have collaborated with skate brand Uniful for a project that took a year in planning. Together, they have created the “Unistars” series which include skate decks featuring “Wolfgang Honecker” photo prints and a mesh cap. In addition, Uniful has released their new 2008 Spring/Summer line where you can purchase at Zozo.
Fan of the artist Kaws will love this one. Original Fake will be soon releasing some socks utilizing Kaws’ signature “X” marks. The socks will come in four colorways and will be avialable at the Original Fake store in Japan as well as Original Fake dealers worldwide.
We have always loved how art or logos can be used in wearable and household products so these socks are quite refreshing from the usual form of t-shirts.

The brand, Idiom, has been a snowboarding apparel label that we have always followed here at HYPEBEAST due to its ties with the trend setter Hiroshi Fujiwara. This year, Idiom used a lot of red along with plaid patterns. To be honest, we thought this year’s collection was only so-so compared to the monotone collection from 06/07. Recently, HF posted some pictures on his blog where he is shown wearing a jacket from next year’s Idiom 08/09 collection. It looks like there will be a lot of green from the upcoming collection. Unfortunately not much information has been released but usually some Idiom retailer will release the pictures so hopefully we’ll see some of the catalog scans soon.
