While preparing his third Blood Orange LP, Dev Hynes took to Twitter today to share some new music. The release was all written, performed and produced by Hynes himself, and was intended to score an upcoming film. However, the New York-based artist candidly tells through twitter that he was fired from the project. Luckily for fans, Hynes has decided to librate the creation rather than to store it away in his musical archives. Enjoy the score in its entirety in the video above, which also features a painting by Alice Lancaster. Look for the new Blood Orange release, likely due sometime this year.
Music from the film score i was let go from a couple weeks ago. Figured i’d put it out. Now back to work on Blood Orange LP3. Peace. <3
