Watch Rainy Milo’s La Cosa Nostra-Influenced Video for "This Thing Of Ours"

Rainy Milo’s been making her U.S. rounds in the past couple months, even performing at SXSW leading up to her debut album release, This Thing Of Ours. Today we get the first official visuals for the title track. With reference to La Cosa Nostra, Rainy’s hook “she held the grounds for you and you didn’t know what to do,” is very ride or die. You’ll see in this Joseph Gonzalez-directed video where Rainy and her man are drop-top, joy-riding with a bag of cash. Of the video, she tells Complex, “This Thing Of Ours is based on a relationship I watched between two people while I was growing up, reimagined into a more cinematic version of their story. So of course when it came to creating a music video for the song, I wanted to be sure it was going to be a visual that would tell that story. Two lovers, one over confident in their abilities to get away with crimes, the other skeptical but addicted to the lifestyle.”
