Pyro Board: An Audio Visualizer Made of Flames

A group of young physicists and chemists in Denmark have developed an audio visualizer made of flames and dubbed it “Pyro Board.” Based on the Rubens’ tube — an antique piece of apparatus used to demonstrate the relationship between sounds waves and sound pressure — the Pyro Board ups the ante by utilizing 2,500 flames to depict sound in a synchronized manner. Similar to a conventional digital audio visualizer, real-time visuals are rendered based on music but in a more explosive and mesmerizing way.
