At this year’s annual Gamescom in Germany, EA Sports unveiled its latest installment of its flagship soccer video game franchise: FIFA 14. Featuring an array of new gameplay features, stadiums, players and animations, the game is said to be the pinnacle of EA’s last eight years of FIFA development – a stretch that has seen the celebrated franchise rack up more than 300 awards. EA also announced a special partnership with Microsoft for the game as the Xbox 360 and Xbox One will feature exclusive “Ultimate Team Legends” content for the “Ultimate Team” mode, thus making a number of former stars available for play once again. Furthermore, FIFA 14 will come packaged free of charge with every Xbox One pre-ordered in Europe. Look for the demo to launch on current generation consoles worldwide come September 10 while the game is set for a September 24 release in North America before hitting European shelves three days later on September 27.
