Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel were invited to “In Performance at the White House: Memphis Soul.” While this seems to be a pretty formal affair at first glance, things got cozy as JT tuned into his melodious take of “(Sittin’ On) the Dock of the Bay,” which had President Barack Obama and his family’s heads nodding and singing along. Scheduled for broadcast on PBS on April 16, the event celebrated the Memphis sounds of the 1960s and hosted soul-inspired performers, ranging from legends like Mavis Staples and Booker T. Jones to younger acts like the Alabama Shakes and American Idol finalist Joshua Ledet.
