Cassell Street House by b.e. Architecture

The Cassell Street House has been described as “unapologetically contemporary,” and when we consider its clean, minimalist lines and use of material, this tag seems the most apt of any. Developed by Melbourne-based b.e. Architecture, the house was custom-built by request, with the facade being composed of 10 solid slabs of travertine limestone from two different quarries. This material is used throughout the home, adding a unifying feeling throughout the building’s three stories. A garden surrounds the home itself, which is meant to compliment the entrance of natural light in the downstairs living area.
