Italian fashion designer Marcelo Burlon’s latest offering comes as the chromatic visuals to his captivating 2013 fall/winter T-shirt collection. Titled “Neon County of Milan,” we see a splurge of cultural symbols, blending mosaic renditions with sci-fi narratives, esoteric symbols with rave and club culture, and at times even surreal Gothic motifs seen by fellow contemporaries like Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy. Enhanced by a bed of distorted synth-led instrumentals, we venture into experimental territories led by a trance of psychedelia, as a battles unfolds between the dichotomies of diabolic artwork and haute couture flair. The collection is now available in selected retailers.
