Oliver Stone’s New Pot-Infused Thriller ‘Savages’
“Just ’cause I’m telling you I’m telling this story, doesn’t mean I’m alive at the end of it. It’s that kind of story, where things just got so out of control…” Legendary director Oliver Stone is back with another gritty and inevitably explosive tale that has all the trappings to stand amongst his most iconic films. In Savages, pot growers played by Taylor Kitsch and Andy Johnson put their successful business on the line when they square off against the Mexican drug cartel led by Selma Hayek (in a rare villainous role!) who kidnapped their shared girlfriend, played by Blake Lively. Uma Thurman, John Travolta and Benicio Del Toro also join the star-studded cast. Every successful business has an origin, and Stone will once again tell its spectacular story with relish. But for the time being you’ll have to sit on your hands, as Savages is currently slated to hit theaters this summer on July 6.
