Set to make its debut early next year is the new Mini Cooper Paceman. A sportier, two-door version of the Countryman, the Paceman sits lower to the ground than its predecessor and couples a sloped roof design with an angled back light, horizontal taillights, and a pronounced back end for an aggressive look. Offering 122 horsepower and a 1.6-liter engine in the base model, the 1.6-liter diesel engines of the D Paceman and SD Paceman will see 112 and 143 hp, respectively. Finally, a souped-up S Paceman will also be available, offering a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 184 hp and acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in 7.5 seconds. The first Mini model to sport power button windows on the doors instead of the center console, the automobile features two individual back seats with armrests and the Center Rail system while the D, SD and S will all be available with Mini’s ALL4 system. Starting at £18,970 GBP (approximately $30,727 USD), the Paceman is slated to make its debut with either six-speed manual or automatic transmissions in March of 2013.
