KAWS “Hold The Line” Exhibition @ Honor Fraser Recap

KAWS‘s second solo exhibition took to Los Angeles’s Honor Fraser encompassing both paintings and sculptures. Opening on Saturday night, the format saw a large number of circular tondo paintings become a central theme to the exhibition. The macro approach to painting created less of an emphasis on characters but rather focused on unconventional color schemes and the highlighting of shadows and geometric shapes. Some other stunning large pieces helped balance out the numerous tondos while two huge KAWS Companions in both regular and dissected form rounded out the exhibition.
