Mr. Porter: The Look – Mr. Richard Haines

For its latest series called “The Look,” newly-launched online shopping destination Mr. Porter chats with designer-turned-illustrator Richard Haines about his transition from the design world to his new profession. Taking to the streets of New York City for inspiration, Haines began to sketch the way real men were dressing for his blog, What I Saw Today. Within a couple of years, his blog had become a sensation within the menswear industry. His sketches were being featured in several of the most influential magazines and he was being asked to sit front row at some of the most prestigious shows. In this exclusive interview, Haines talks about the relevance of old-fashioned illustration in this fast-paced digital age and what having great style means to him.
